A big hello to you all.

Well it is that time of year again coming to the end of another season. With the Nationals coming up in September we are hoping once again to put Wyre Hall on the map. There are quite a few members going and we have a ladies team this year (come on the girls!).

You will have noticed from your N.F.A.S magazine that the club has been doing well at shoots, with wins at the Scottish and 3D’s, and Claire Marshall 4th at the 3D’s. Claire has won at club shoots all over the country, and as they do not all put in reports we would like to say “bloody well done.” Other members have been regular medallists too, Karon , Elsa and occasionally me (hurrah)!

For those of you who have not been able to go to many shoots this year we can recommend some of the 2 day ones at Liberty, Buttsfield and the Lakeland Challenge as a test of stamina, skill and drinking. They say practice makes perfect, well I can now climb hills!

The club has bought some new 3D’s, which will enable us to make the club champs an all 3D shoot, with predator and prey and even a multiple shot. This should be great fun. Claire has also bought and donated some faces from Buttsfield done on Hessian. Thanks Claire. In addition we have a string maker.

Thanks to the people who have helped to get the wood back to normal after the damage. The bottom bosses will be replaced soon. Anyone who has time to help, please contact Mary. May I remind you that helping or attending a working day is a condition of membership.

As you will know club fees are due by 1st October. These remain at £22 which is excellent value for unlimited access to shooting. Please send cheques to me made out to Wyre Hall Field Archers. N.F.AS. fees are due by 1st Jan. Cheques for £10 made out to N.F.A.S please. May I remind members that it is compulsory to be in the N.F.A.S and if not joining through the club I will need your number.

May I also ask for club trophies to be returned for the champs. If you are not coming please drop them at Jim’s.
